Device authentication
View history after authenticating with Touch ID or the authentication method provided by macOS.
In your menu bar
The menu bar icon shows whether capture is active, paused, waiting or needs attention. Open the menu for details or choose an opening shortcut in Settings.
Sensitive text masking
On-device recognition masks credentials, tokens and verification codes with matching context in history. Personal data masking is optional. Showing or copying originals of protected entries requires fresh device authentication.
Open at login
Choose to open Clipnemi when you sign in on macOS 13 or later. Off by default; the vault stays locked.
Choose the Dock display
Keep Clipnemi only in the menu bar, or show its Dock icon too. The choice is remembered and does not change capture.
Know what is saved
Clipnemi retains clipboard formats supplied by the source app, within size limits. Copying files or folders in Finder saves references to the originals; it does not back up file contents or copy folders recursively. File image previews reflect the current original when accessible. The app supports eight interface languages. This version has no backup/restore interface. History groups and type filters apply to the recent results shown; use text search to narrow them. Recognition may miss sensitive data or flag ordinary content. Images and other native formats are not fully scanned. Masked copy produces plain text; originals remain encrypted. The app does not prevent other apps from reading the system clipboard. While protection is enabled, recognized sensitive entries stay hidden in previews and text search. Show Original temporarily reveals only the selected detail; it does not make original text searchable. Launch at login requires macOS 13 or later and an installed release of the app. It is off by default and follows the authorization state in macOS Login Items. Dock visibility is optional and available on macOS 12 or later. Pinned Dock shortcuts are managed by macOS.
